Burma, Province of Chiengmai (mod. Chiang Mai, Thailand), c. 1615-1768, silver tok, cast with hollow domed top, semi-circular opening on lower surface, fractured dome above, two circular stamps in edge with the symbol for ‘four’, a traditional local symbol for coinage (Mitchiner, Non-Islamic, no. 2800), 69.72g., diam 60 x 55 mm, orange lacquer on lower surface.
