One of an important series of 119 medals and other items formerly belonging to the medallist and sculptor Allan Gairdner Wyon (1882-1962), selected from a larger body of material that originally derived from his workshop.
Drawing for reverse of a medal for St Marys Hospital Medical School, early 20th cent., ? by A. or A. G. Wyon. Pencil drawing on board. St Marys Hospital have a Cheadle Medal, established in 1898, designed by Allan Wyon (Brown 4019), and this may be a rejected design for that, or for some later medal.
