Description

Boxwood lined with tortoise-shell, with miniature of flowers

Boxwood and tortoise-shell set with a miniature in bodycolour on card, varnished and mounted under glass. The circular box has slightly concave sides and a slightly domed pull-off lid. The interior is lined in tortoise-shell. The circular miniature depicts a bowl of flowers, including roses, on the corner of a marble table.
