Description

Reproduction of Anglo-Saxons, anonymous, 7th cent., East Anglia, gold shilling, ‘Constantine’ type. Reproduced in a gold-silver (40:60) alloy while making a BBC TV programme on Treasure, April 2003. Made with gold from a Victorian sovereign and silver from a 7th-century Sassanian drachm.
