A study for the drapery of Nimue or Vivien in 'Merlin and Vivien' (1870-74) at the Lady Lever Gallery, Port Sunlight. This is very similar to the studies in the sketchbook No. 962, and clearly illustrates Burne-Jones' use of the antique technique of wetting the drapery so that it clings to the contours of the model.
