A.C. Sewter in 'The Stained Glass of Wm. Morris and his circle' (Vol. II, p. 9) writes:- 'The entry in Burne-Jones' account book is dated 10th October 1863; 'Big Edith £4'. Two entries in Philip Webb's account book refer to this window: (i) dated 14th August 1863: Amington, S. Edith, small pattern design 10s.; and (ii) dated 29th September 1863: Full size canopy and c. S. Edith, Aminton, £1.10s. Burne-Jones' Cartoon is at Birmingham (55'98) (reproduced pl. 147 Sewter I) Webb's cartoon for the canopy at Walthamstow.
