Description

Oil paint on glass painting of a posy of flowers within a border of sequins

Oil paint on glass within a border of sequins in an ormolu and mahogany frame. Circular, the painting depicts a posy of flowers, including roses, morning glory and nasturtiums on a grey ground, surrounded by a swagged border of gold and bronze coloured sequins. The circular ormolu frame is decorated with borders of beads, stiff leaf decoration and rope edging and has a hanging loop at the top. The back is of mahogany.
