With No. 690b, this design was for part of the East Window at Lyndhurst, Hants. In Burne-Jones' account books (Fitzwilliam Museum) payments for designs for Lyndhurst appear between August 1862 and November 1864. A large cartoon of 'Apostles' is listed for December 16th, 1862 although its destination is not given (5.0.0).
