Glassworks: James Powell & Sons (Probably)
Clear glass, double walled, silvered on the interior surfaces and sealed. Bell-shaped bowl, smooth on the interior and facetted on the exterior: ten on the lower part and twenty on the upper part, both rows with pointed tops. The facetted baluster stem has a facetted knop below the bowl. The circular foot is facetted round the outer edge.
A mark in the centre of the base on a circular disk with the lettering in relief: 'E. VARNISH & CO. LONDON' in a circle around 'PATENT'.
