Description

A pair with C.8-1982. Clear glass decorated with engraved ropework; silver mounts, originally gilt, now partly so, with engraved and applied ropework. The foot bears an engraved inscription: 'TO MAJOR GENERAL FRANCIS SEYMOUR, C.B. FROM VICTORIA R. 1869'. Marks on mounts: (1) Leopard's head); (2) Lion passant; (3) Date letter f for 1861-2; (4) Maker's mark R.H. for Robert Hennell III.
