Woodcut t.p. by Hans Burgkmair representing Alboin, King of the Lombards, and Athanaric, King of the Goths, seated in a hall and engaged in a conversation, with a shield above them containing the title of the book (Burkhard, A. Burgkmair, no. 79). Initials. At colophon: printer's device designed by Daniel Hopfer (Dodgson, C. Cat. of early German and Flemish woodcuts, II, p. 191, no. 3).
