Description

For S, vl, bc, from the 1747 version of the B section of the aria from Occasional oratorio, HWV 62 no. 9, starting at Handel Gesellschaft, volume 43, page 57, bar 6.
Editorial title.
The leaf has four vertical fold-marks, very evident on p. 40, similar to the fold-marks on p. 59-60.
Page 40 is of empty staves, but has an off print from another page in Handel's writing in pencil, or possibly light ink, on staves 1-2 and above (not from p. 59-60).
Holograph manuscript in ink.
Watermark: Fleur de lis over Strasbourg bend ; countermark "IV" (Burrows B160)
