Italian libretto by Giacomo Rossi after a scenario by Aaron Hill.
8 complete fascicles from the holograph score of the first version of the opera Rinaldo (HWV 7a), complementing GB Lbl R.M.20.c.3. With an additional leaf (p. 71) of a keyboard arrangement of the aria "Molto voglio" (HWV 7a, no. 10 / HWV 482¹).

p. 1-16 are numbered fascicles [1]-2 of Act 1 of the holograph score, and fit between f. 4-5 of GB Lbl R.M.20.c.3 ; p. 17-44 are fascicles 3-4 of Act 2, and fit between f. 34-35 of R.M. 20.c.3 ; p. 45-54 is fascicle 6 of Act 2, and follows R.M. 20.c.3 f. 36 ; fascicle 7 of Act II and fascicle 1 of Act III are missing ; p. 55-70 are numbered fascicles 2-3 of Act 3 and are followed by R.M. 20.c.3 f. 37.
Page 47 is an additional leaf with 5 bars to replace the first bar of the aria starting on p. 46 (originally attached over the first bar of p. 46).

Conserved, remounted, and rebound in quarter leather with marbled paper sides in 1978 by the Cockerell Bindery; the 1890's bindings have been retained.
