Description

Cruet with closed top. Clear pale greenish glass decorated with vertical lattimo threads. Ovoid with slender cylindrical neck, domed cover, ear-shaped handle and tubular spout with applied thread round its mouth, and low foot with pincered pattern. The body has a conical kick.

Note

Cruets of this form were for domestic and pharmaceutical use. The applied thread round the end of the spout permitted the tying on of a parchment or other cover.
