Coverboards covered with white linen. Off-white paper. Collocation: four gatherings containing the following number of leafs: six (one attached to front cover and probably two missing); eight; eight; eight (one attached to back cover and one cut out). Anatomical studies until page 14(verso) - probably from the book referred to verso on PD.124-1994 (included) also several of torso of seated female nude. Page 15(recto) has a diagram of a church. Pages 16 to end mostly figure and portrait studies, inverted from page 24 onwards.

This sketchbook contains preliminary drawings and ideas for the following engravings: 'Lear' [35] 1911 and 'The Visitation' [37] and [45] ?1911. It also contains two watercolours, Page 17(recto) Study of draped cloth and Page 18(recto) Study for painting with standing figures and one kneeling one. Green colour tested in block on edge of Page 19(recto) also. Portrait identified as G.Keynes on Page 26(recto), inverted.
