Production: Leeds Pottery (Probably)
Oval bowl and cover (perhaps for pot pourri). Pale cream-coloured earthenware, moulded, the pierced cover with an applied moulded flower knob, covered with translucent lead glaze. The bowl is oval with deep sides moulded with six very shallow lobes or panels, and stands on a footring. The cover has a twelve-sided wavy edge, and its slightly domed centre is pierced with six groups of leaves and three dots. In the centre there is a large flower on a stem with three leaves.
