Hard paste porcelain painted in red, pale red, brown and black enamels, and gold. Circular with shallow rounded sides resting on a tapering footring. The interior is coarsely but carefully painted in red and gold with a bird perched on a leafy, flowering branch. Inscribed in the top right in red with a 20-character poem with the name Xii. The rim edged in gold.
