Square dish. Hard-paste, greyish, porcelain, moulded, painted with red, pale red, gold-violet, green and black enamels, and gold. Square with shallow rounded sides and inverted scalloped rim which dips slightly in the middle of each side and is canted across the corners, standing on a circular footring. The rim is edged with a dark brown glaze. The cavetto is moulded with a double row of facets centre and border asymmetrically decorated with branches of flowering chrysanthemum and four fans outlined like the chrysanthemums in red; the violet background water outlined in gold and the green leaves with veins precisely delineated in black. The back is undecorated but has a single ring of facets. Five tiny spur marks.
