Description

Fritware, mould made, painted in blue, green and black under a colourless glaze.
Forms part of a panel comprising twenty three tiles; one of an upper row of three roughly square tiles.
Upper surface: Tiles on the top row are all painted with a frieze of arcading toped with palmettes, outlined in black and containing split leaf arabesques that are reserved in blue and highlighted with green. This initial row may have been taken from a different context to the remaining rows.
Lower surface: undecorated except for splashes of glaze and areas of plaster
