Plaster, cast. The sitter's head is turned, front looking up and to the left. His head is bare, with thick wavy hair. His throat is bare. He wears classical drape over his shoulder, fastened on the right shoulder with a circular brooch. On circular pedestal. Inscribed on the black in ink 'Cast from the original bust of Beethoven in possession of the Philharmonic Society of London. G.F. Anderson Hon. Treasurer/illegible/Fredk Bowen-Jewson/Joseph Williams.'
