Description

Plaster, painted to resemble terracotta. Circular. The sitter's head and shoulders are facing and looking almost profile to the right, turned slightly more to the front. He is bare-headed, with receding hair falling in long locks at the back and long bushy side-whiskers. He wears a jacket and knotted tie.
The plaque is in an ebonized wood frame with label attached 'The original cast for the marble memorial in Westminster'.
