Signed 'CH'. Probably for Christopher Heckel.
The design of this plaster suggests that the original silver chaise watch case, which has not been traced, was made for the Turkish market. The initials 'C H' stand for Christopher Heckel who was active as a chaser of silver (and possibly of gold) in London between the 1740s and the late 1770s.
