Wood, carved in the round, painted and gilt. The Virgin, both hands lost, stands on a cloud of eight cherubs' heads, and her draperies billow out around her. Her dress is painted with a rich floral pattern and much gilding survives. Her mantle at the back has a rich design. The figure is supported on a carved and gilt wood stand
