Half-length portrait of Sir Francis Burdett Bt. (1770-1844). Wax, coloured dark green, flesh pink, pale red, brown, and black. The sitter faces front, wearing a high collar, stock with front bow, black waistcoat and jacket. At the top there is a looped up curtain, which descends on the right side and passes across the figure to the left lower corner. In rectangular gilt frame with acanthus leaves in the corners set in a gilt wooden frame.
