For the attribution of the text to Martinus Dumiensis, Archbishop of Braga, see Nikolaus Henkel, Deutsche Übersetzungen lateinischer Schultexte: Ihre Verbreitung und Funktion im Mittelalter und in der frühen Neuzeit, Münchener Texte und Untersuchungen, 90, Munich,1988, pp. 306-309.
Martinus's Formula vitae honestae, sive De quatuor virtutibus, is traditionally attributed to Seneca and is presumably based on Seneca's De officiis.
The three fictitious orations ascribed to Demosthenes, Aeschines, and Demades are probably by Petrus Marcellus, bishop of Ceneda: see Remigio Sabbadini, "Antonio da Romagno e Pietro Marcello", in Nuovo Archivio Veneto, n.s., XV (1915), pp. 207-246, in particular pp. 241 ss.

Marginal drawings in brown ink:The initial Q on the first page represents the Annuniciation angel and the Blessed Virgin. In the scroll uniting their heads are initials standing for Ave, Gratia, Plena, Dominus Tecum Maria. On sig, 6v the initial O represents two lions in circle with tails knotted. 10b and 11r and v, floral work. 13v initial G of bird and figure holding a horn. Some marginal contemporary notes on 17v and 19v.
