Description

Bust. White marble. The sitter faces the front. Her hair is parted in the centre and drawn softly back behind her ears into a low, plaited bun in the nape of the neck. Her neck and shoulders are bare; her bust and upper arms at the front are concealed by a slightly diagonal drape, below which there is a wreath of flowers and foliage which continues across the back and under the shoulder.
