Description

Alabaster bust, on alabaster socle attached to the bust by a central screw. The sitter is represented with his head turned slightly to his right. He wears a tie wig with long flowing curls, a cravat, armour, and a cloak which is draped across the lower part of the bust at the front. There is a sash over his right shoulder, and round his neck is a ribbon from which is suspended the Insignia of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The bust ends just above the elbows and slopes downwards to a little above the waist at the centre front.
