Venus Pudica


Probably Fayd'herbe, Lucas (Sculptor)


Ivory, carved in the round. Venus stands on her right leg with her left relaxed at the knee.


History note: Daniel Katz, London; purchased by him in New York in 1979; purchased with the Thoulouze Fund and with Grant-in-Aid from the Victoria and Albert Museum.
