Right wing of a diptych, ivory. The subjects are in two zones under architectural canopies:
Above: The Coronation of the Virgin and two kneeling angels with candlesticks
Below: The Nativity and Annunciation to the Shepherds
History note: A note (dated 1857) on the back states the relief was Mr Younge's Coll. at Sheffield. 1893: T. bateman Coll. Sale (cat. no. 35)

Relative size of this object is displayed using code inspired by Good Form and Spectacle's work on the British Museum's Waddeson Bequest website and their dimension drawer. They chose a tennis ball to represent a universally sized object, from which you could envisage the size of an object.
