Description

Soft-paste porcelain plate, decorated with flowers underglaze in blue and gilt.

Soft-paste porcelain plate, decorated underglaze in blue and gilt. The circular plate has a sloping rim with a scalloped and barbed edge of twenty points. The centre is painted with a patera, the well is banded with gilt circles interspersed with quatrefoil florettes on blue, and the rim has a gilt foliated band overlaid with inverted S-scrolls in gilt, shaded in underglaze blue.
