Soft-paste porcelain mug, painted onglaze in polychrome enamels with a bird amid berried branches.

Soft-paste porcelain mug, painted onglaze with red, pink, brown, green, blue and black enamels. This mug is cylindrical with slightly flared foot, an unglazed shallow flattened footring; it has a ribbed strap handle. It is painted in colours outlined in black with a dishevelled bird standing on a mound, flanked by berried branches, enclosed within a barbed quatrelobed panel, edged with black and red lines; with floral sprays on either side of the handle.
