Soft-paste porcelain, thrown, transfer-printed underglaze in blue. The mug is of tall cylindrical shape, with grooved strap handle. The mug is printed on one side with 'La Pêche', the reverse with 'La Promenade Chinoise'.

The two scenes were based on 'La Pêche' and 'La Promenade Chinoise' designed by Jean-Baptiste Pillement, engraved by P.C. Canot, which appeared in 'Livre de Chinois', c. 758, but are in reverse from the originals.
