Soft-paste porcelain vase, painted with Chinese scenes in red, yellow, green, blue and pink onglaze enamels, outlined in black.
Soft-paste porcelain vase, painted in red, yellow, green, blue and pink onglaze enamels, outlined in black. The slender baluster vase has a high, tapering conical neck, and is supported on a flaring base. It is painted in famille-rose style, on one side with a Chinese figure in a fenced garden, pointing a wand at the ground. The reverse is painted with a long-tailed bird in flight. The shoulders are banded with a floral and trellis diaper border.
