Soft-paste porcelain plate, painted underglaze in blue. The circular plate has a wide, flat, out-turned rim, and rounded well, and stands on an undercut footring. It is painted in the centre with The Children at Play pattern, showing three Chinese boys playing in a fenced garden, and on the rim with four floral vignettes reserved in a honeycomb diaper ground. The underside of the rim is painted with four Precious Objects.
