Factory: Chamberlain's Worcester Porcelain Factory
Sodt-paste porcelain chocolate cup and cover, painted with green leaves and roses in green, pink and purple enamels and gilt.
Soft-paste porcelain chocolate cup and cover, painted in green, pink and purple enamels and gilt. The cup is cylindrical with sloping sides, with ring handles; the slightly domed cover is surmounted by a finial formed of entwined twigs. The cup is decorated with six deep swags of green leaves with a pink and a purple rose at the base of each, from which spring arching sprays of gilt leaves; the base and rim are banded with a gilt lozenge border. The cover is decorated en suite with the ring finial picked out in gilding.
