Description

Black leather covered sketchbook containing 75 leaves. Hinged metal clasp attached to front cover and pencil holder for the metallic pencil originally supplied with the sketchbook (absent) attached to rear. Edges of leaves, front and back cover boards and front end paper are marbled. Rear end paper missing. Front cover board has a wallet. Rear cover board has printed almanack for the year 1865. Four leaves cut out following f.20. The leaves following f.21 are blank recto and verso and are not detailed elsewhere. F.67 has become detached from its binding.
