Description

Soft-paste porcelain spill vase, painted with feathers in polychrome enamels and gilt.

Soft-paste porcelain spill vase, painted in enamel colours and gilt. Cylindrical with everted rim and projecting foot. On the front of the vase, are naturalistically painted feathers in a rectangular panel with a wide gilt frame, reserved in a pale orange ground decorated overall with gilt leaves. Formal gilt border under the rim and a gilt band on the foot. In a pair with C.294A-1991.
