Standing Woman, perhaps Morning

Parian (?) porcelain figure of a Standing Woman, glazed, and enamelled in flesh pink, red, and brown enamels.
Parian (?) porcelain figure of a Standing Woman, glazed, and enamelled in flesh pink, red, and brown enamels. The circular, straight-sided base has an underglaze flange underneath, and glazed underside with a central ventilation hole. The woman stands with her feet slightly apart, and arms crossed over her breast. Her brown hair is dressed in Grecian style, and she has pink cheeks and red lips. She wears a long, layered dress held up on her left shoulder by a string. Her right shoulder and most of her back and chest are bare.
History note: H.S. Reitlinger (d.1950); the Reitlinger Trust, Maidenhead, from which transferred in 1991.
