Bone china dessert stand, decorated with royal-blue ground colour, polychrome enamels, turquoise and white 'jewels', gilding and raised gilding.
Bone china dessert stand, decorated with royal-blue ground colour, blue, pale turquoise, pale greenish-yellow and pink enamel colours, turquoise and white 'jewels', gilding and raised gilding. The circular shallow concave dish is supported on an octagonal columnar stem with a depressed globular cushion knop and an octagonal projection with eight Moorish arches. Below is an eight-lobed foot with projecting mouldings above and below its vertical edge. The underside of the dish, the 'cushion' and the top of the foot have a royal-blue ground decorated with gold arabesques and stylised plant motifs, which, on the foot, are partly coloured turquoise. The top of the dish is decorated in the other colours and raised gilding with an interlace border and a central rosette. There are turquoise 'jewels' round the vertical edge of the foot, on the 'cushion' and on the edge of the underside of the rim, and white 'jewels' between the lobes on the top of the foot and round the outer edge of the dish and about half-way across its surface.
