Description

A portrait of Marie Francoise Dubourg (d.1809/10), wife of John Angelo (or Ainslie), known as Angelo Tremamondo (d. 1805), riding-master and Master of the Royal Academy of Exercises in Edinburgh. His brother, Domenick (or Domenico) was a fencing master and his wife's portrait was also painted by Reynolds (now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York).
