Soft-paste porcelain sugar bowl and cover, painted underglaze in blue and decorated with flowers and leaves.
Soft-paste porcelain sugar bowl and cover, painted underglaze in blue. The bowl has rounded sides, moulded with narrow flutes below a plain border, and stands on a wedge-shaped footring. The ogee domed cover is similarly moulded, and surmounted by a flower and leaf knob. Both pieces are painted with scrolling, feathery leaves, and flowers, the interior of the bowl with a flower sprig.
