Soft-paste porcelain cream jug, painted underglaze in blue with Chinese landscapes.
Soft-paste porcelain cream jug, moulded, and painted underglaze in blue. The pear-shaped jug has a sparrow beak spout, wishbone handle with kick terminal, and stands on a wedge-shaped footring. The sides are moulded with beaded medallions entwined with daisy flowers, separated by vertical strips of trellis diaper. Each medallion encloses a painted Chinese river landscape, with a band of cell diaper round the rim.
