Description

Soft-paste porcelain saucer, decorated with an Oriental scene in polychrome enamels.

Soft-paste porcelain saucer, painted onglaze in pink, red, yellow, turquoise and black enamels. The circular saucer has shallow rounded sides, and stands on a low footring. It is painted in famille rose style with a Chinese lady seated cross-legged in a fenced garden, and a boy carrying a box, an insect in flight above. The rim is painted with a black 'dot and arrow' border between red lines.
