Soft-paste porcelain, slip-cast, lead-glazed, and painted in blue, green, pink, brown enamels, and gilt. The underside is unglazed and has a circular hole off centre. The approximately oval base has a rocaille 'frill' round the edge, picked out in gold, and three leaves and a flower on the top. The boy sits on a brown basket filled with pink flowers. His left foot is on the ground and his other foot raised slightly. He leans over towards his left, holding a garland of pink flowers in both hands. He is bareheaded and barefooted, and wears a pink jacket with gold buttons, and blue bows on the shoulders, and green breeches with pink flowers around the knees. In a set of four figures representing the Seasons.

This figure and its three companions representing the Seasons was attributed to Longton Hall, but it has recently been suggested that it was made at the Vauxhall factory which operated between 1751 and 1764
