Bone china cup and saucer, transfer-printed in brown and painted in blue, red, yellow and black enamel colours and gilt with battle ships and flags.
Bone china cup and saucer, transfer-printed in brown and painted in blue, red, yellow and black enamel colours and gilt. On the cup, a battle ship with below, a scroll inscribed 'MIGHT IN THE RIGHT CAUSE SHALL PREVAIL' and below that 'EUROPEAN WAR/1914 & 15'. On either side there are crossed flags below planes, and to the left a sailor, and to the right a soldier. A gilt band encircles the rim and there is a gilt stroke down the back of the handle. The saucer is decorated with the battle ship and inscription and has a gilt band band encircling the rim.
