  • Text: 10 Several folds hanging from a projection & collected[i] / 11[ii] supported by a band at the other extremities / Note, Thest folds are common in the Greek, female / Statues, they hang from the shoulder, between the arm / & the breast, immediately under which, they are / collected in the girdle. / 11 Folds drawn over a limb, occasioned [iii]the upper / by one / end of the fold being supported by the girdle, sh[iii] / by the weight of the cloth at its lower end drawing / the folds from the points on which they depend over / the limb in a spiral line / Edges of Drapery / are beautiful when of a zig-zag form / 12 Horizontal / 13 Perpendicular large & little varied / Less, [iv] little varied / more varied simple & frequently repeated [iv] frequent repetitions of the same fold / in form resembling the Vitruvian scroll / 15 Small, muc[v] various & frequently repeated / 16 Draperies flying, resembling the form of a Fan / 17
