Description

Bone china, painted in polychrome enamels and gilt

Bone china, painted in blue, green, yellow, pink, red, and purple enamels, and gilded. The cylindrical mug has a D-shaped strap handle with a thumb-piece at the top. The cover is slightly domed and has a globular knob. The exterior of the mug is decorated with three arrangements of mixed flowers reserved in a gold scale pattern ground. There is a broad gold band round the base, and another round the rim, and the back of the handle is gilded overall. The cover is decorated to match with a gold band round the edge and a gold knob.
