Description

Bone china, painted with flowers in polychrome enamels, and gilt

Bone china, moulded, glazed, and painted in blue, yellow, shades of green, pink, red, purple, grey, and black enamels, and gilt. The circular saucer has deep curved sides, and a recessed base. The interior is decorated with a broad border of mixed flowers, including rose, convolvulous, and nasturtium, reserved in a gold ground. Below the rim is a reserved white rectangular zig-zag border, and there is a similar border around the central undecorated medallion.
