Note

Previously attributed to the Flemish School, 17th Century, with a suggested attribution to Jan Fyt [1611-1661]. However PD.38-1963, clearly by the same hand, has a German inscription, so both drawings are most likely German. Attributions to Johann Ridinger (1695/98-1767) or Daniel Chodowiecki (1726-1801) have been suggested but both are unlikely as the drawing is most probably seventeenth century.
