Soft-paste porcelain containing bone ash, figure of a Youth drinking, press-moulded, hand-modelled, and painted over lead-glaze in blue, green, yellow, flesh-pink, dark puce, a little red, and brown enamels, and gilt. The square base has four scroll feet, with a pierced rocaille motif between the front two. The figure is supported by a tree stump with a long branch bearing flowers and leaves on the viewer's left, and a short branch with leaves on the right, in front of which there is a basket of fruit and vegetables. The top of the base is decorated with applied flowers and leaves. The youth stands with his right foot crossed over his left. He looks to his right and holds a goblet in his left hand, and in his raised right hand, a bunch of grapes. He has brown hair in a queue, and wears a blue tricorn hat with a gold scalloped edging, and a bunch of grapes attached to the brim at the front. He has a white shirt, a puce jacket with yellow collar and cuffs, and gold buttons; floral breeches with a gold band round the knee; white stockings, and blue shoes with puce bows.
